About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our pharmacy team at NHS Scotland. As a Pharmacy Support Worker - Cancer Care, you will play a vital role in providing support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the dispensary and sterile unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy and medicines for side effect management
  • Support the coordination of medicines delivery and stock control
  • Contribute to environmental monitoring and aseptic manufacturing processes
  • Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Previous pharmacy experience is essential
  • Hold a dispensing assistant S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery
  • Meet the highest standards of discipline and personal hygiene

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work occasional weekends and public holidays on a rota with other staff. The pharmacy department provides a 7-day service.
