Compliance Leadership Team Member

InterQuest Group is seeking an experienced professional to join our Compliance leadership team as a Policy and Governance Specialist.

This role is part of our partnership with a leading Retail Banking Group to deliver exceptional customer experiences across the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Compliance Framework Development: Develop and maintain the bank's Compliance/Regulatory framework, ensuring alignment with the bank's Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Group and senior stakeholders, providing oversight and guidance to local business units.
  • Committee Facilitation: Facilitate and attend committees/forums, producing reporting packs, data, and insights to support Group and Local Committees and Forums.
  • Framework Oversight: Ensure all relevant frameworks, including SYSC, are suitable for the Group and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Possess significant knowledge of Regulatory themes, including Conduct Risk, Consumer Duty, and SMCR.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Retail Banking Experience: Proven experience in retail banking, (un)secured lending, or related industries.
  • Regulatory Risk Experience: At least 6 years of experience in Regulatory Risk, Policy & Governance within a retail bank or related industry.
  • Regulatory Lawyers: We will consider Regulatory lawyers with the above experience who can hit the ground running and operate as Group Department Head of Compliance.

This is a 3-day per week position based in Manchester, offering a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 plus bonus and benefits.

We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
