About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Rogers McHugh Recruitment. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and cost control of fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Manage and control project budgets, ensuring value for money and quality
  • Conduct cost analysis, risk assessments, and manage procurement strategies
  • Lead the preparation of valuations, variation orders, and final accounts
  • Manage project costs from inception to completion, reporting on financial performance
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to deliver the best outcomes
  • Advise on procurement strategies and contract selection
  • Oversee subcontractor relationships and ensure compliance with agreed terms
About You
  • Consultancy experience in the construction or fit-out industry is desired
  • Relevant degree or qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the retail, hospitality, leisure, or healthcare sectors
  • Strong understanding of contract management and cost control principles
  • Proven experience in managing high-value projects
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with construction contracts such as JCT or NEC
