Trades Trainer Role

A&P Group is seeking an experienced Trades Trainer to join our team. As a Trades Trainer, you will be responsible for providing hands-on training and instruction to apprentices in welding and plating practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver training programs to meet apprenticeship standards and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices to ensure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Work with the Training Officer and Fabrication team to develop and improve onsite training modules
  • Coordinate and arrange tests and exams for apprentices
  • Regularly review progress and provide constructive feedback to apprentices and managers
Requirements:
  • Experience in general welding and plating practices, including MIG, TIG, and MMA
  • Ability to engage with and mentor young adults
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication apprenticeship regulations and standards
  • Desire to pass on knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers
