About the Role:

Innovative Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Quality team in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Quality team in maintaining and developing quality systems, processes, and policies.
  • Provide support and direction to the Global Quality teams.
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) compliant to ISO 9001.
  • Ensure product inspections are conducted as required.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the board.
  • Promote a quality culture within the business.
  • Authorise concessions to allow the production and shipment of components and products.
  • Manage the quarantine and containment of components and products.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) workshops and drive continuous improvements to processes and products.
  • Support Logistics with the assessment of new and current suppliers.
  • Support the business with Sustainability strategy.
  • Authorise changes to the Business Management System (BMS).
  • Ensure Quality-related objectives are met.
  • Support Production with process control improvements.
  • Facilitate quality improvement project meetings.
  • Facilitate the development and review of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans with Product Development, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Production.
  • Take responsibility for production process improvement.
  • Take responsibility for End-of-Life (EOL) repair and rework.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent in Quality Management, Engineering, or Science discipline.
  • Experience of managing a team of Quality Professionals in medium to high volume manufacturing.
  • Trained Six Sigma Green belt or above.
  • Knowledge of and experience in maintaining ISO 9001 QMS.
  • Literate with Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent understanding of the 7 tools of Quality.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Competent Lead Internal Auditor with experience of planning and executing internal and external audits.
  • Expected to be adaptable and have willingness to change and embrace change in their role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experienced in creating and analysing outputs from inspection and reporting on their findings.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Experienced in reading and understanding technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues and drive problem resolution.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining FMEA and Control Plans and PPAP.
