Position Overview:
Questech Recruitment Ltd is looking for a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team.

Your primary responsibilities will include the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of lift systems at various client locations.

This role will require you to operate primarily in the field, collaborating closely with our office-based After Sales Manager who will assign tasks and provide support for your daily operations.

The position entails significant travel, including potential overnight stays away from home.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate customer needs.
  • Willingness to undergo training at our facility, with accommodation and meals provided during this period.

Overtime may be necessary and is expected on occasion. Candidates should be prepared to assist with additional hours as required.


Work Schedule:
  • Standard working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on workload.
  • Benefits include 22 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays, and an additional day off for your birthday.

Upon completion of training, you will be provided with a fully equipped service vehicle and a fuel card.


Installation and Commissioning Duties:
  • Travel to various facilities to install and commission lift systems while minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Conduct site evaluations to ensure compliance with installation standards and regulations.

Maintenance and Service Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and safety inspections on lift systems.
  • Carry out routine servicing and health assessments on existing installations.

Warranty and Support Services:
  • Respond to warranty service requests at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly.
  • Comprehensive training will be provided on our specific software systems. A minimum of three years' experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering is essential.
  • Strong skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineering are required.
  • Excellent customer service abilities, characterized by a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • A valid UK driving license is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to flexible working hours.
  • Capability to work away from home when necessary, including overnight stays.
  • Ideal candidates may have experience as a Tail Lift Fitter, Passenger Lift Installation Engineer, Mobile Service Engineer, Auto Electrician, Vehicle Mechanic, or similar roles in the automotive sector with knowledge of vehicle electrics.
