About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Transport (HET) Vehicle Maintainer. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of 92 vehicles, providing support to larger tasks, and training as an Army Sponsored Reservist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the HGV fleet, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition and meet the requirements of our MoD contract.
  • Support larger tasks and projects, working collaboratively with the team to achieve our company goals.
  • Train as an Army Sponsored Reservist, participating in military training and exercises.
  • Deploy on operations in military uniform, with a salary uplift of 50%.

Requirements:

  • Hold an appropriate BTEC, City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV mechanics.
  • Desirable: C+E (HGV 1) licence, although training can be provided.
  • Not exceed 6 points on your driving licence.
  • Meet the Army training requirements, including medical and physical fitness.
  • Be willing to work away from home when required.
  • Previous military experience desirable, with serving regulars or reservists able to transfer directly.
