About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team at FTX, working on a military contract to provide Heavy Equipment Transport (HET) services. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of 92 vehicles, including a bespoke HGV design, and providing support to larger tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the HGV fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition.
- Provide support to larger tasks, working as part of a team to achieve company goals.
- Train as an Army Sponsored Reservist, affiliated to the Regular Tank Transporter Squadron.
- Deploy on Operations in military uniform, with a salary uplift of 50%.
Requirements:
- Appropriate BTEC, City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV mechanics.
- C+E (HGV 1) licence desirable, with training provided for the right candidate.
- Medical and physical fitness to meet Army training requirements.
- Willingness to work away from home when required.
- Previous Military experience desirable, with serving Regulars or Reservists able to transfer directly.
