Job Description

The Pricing Manager will play a crucial role in delivering significant improvements to our pricing models, capability, and analysis. You'll lead a team of Analysts, empowering them to be pioneers in the pricing space and drive impact. With a focus on data-driven decision-making, you'll use technical skills and experience to devise and coordinate our use of modelling and analytical techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ground-breaking improvements to our pricing algorithms
  • Use data science techniques to deliver uplift in model outcomes
  • Own major modelling projects from start to finish
  • Lead the identification of challenges and opportunities through data interpretation and presentation
  • Manage and mentor a team of Analysts, empowering them to grow and develop
  • Ensure all models implemented are compliant with regulatory and fair value measures

Requirements

  • Passion for data analysis and drawing meaningful insights
  • Experience in a Pricing Manager role, with extensive knowledge of UK Motor or Home insurance products/market
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, lead, and mentor a team
  • Significant experience in delivering statistical models, GLMs, GBMs, or other relevant techniques
  • Strong governance awareness and experience with Radar and other insurance pricing software
  • Good experience with statistical software, SQL, SAS, or Python
