Role Summary
As a key member of the Tax team, you will engage in client accounting and tax compliance tasks, with ample opportunities for career advancement in the field of taxation. You will also have the chance to participate in various intriguing tax advisory projects, gaining comprehensive UK and US tax expertise through full training and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Assist the Tax Partner with in-depth research and the preparation of tax advice across various taxation areas.
- Internal Queries: Address internal technical tax inquiries from Partners and Managers, covering all aspects of taxation.
- Tax Planning: Collaborate with the Tax Partner to devise tax planning strategies and deliver proactive advice, including updates for partners, staff, and clients.
- Self Assessment Preparation: Aid in the preparation of Self Assessment Tax Returns for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- US Tax Returns: Support the Tax Partner in the preparation of US Federal Tax Returns.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in mixed UK taxation, with a preference for those familiar with both private and corporate clients. Candidates with a focus on private clients who are eager to gain corporate tax experience will also be considered.
- Relevant qualifications, with a preference for CTA; however, candidates with other tax or accounting qualifications, as well as those qualified by experience, are welcome to apply.
- A willingness to conduct detailed technical research and engage with a variety of tax issues. Experience in US taxation is advantageous but not mandatory.
