About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our West Midlands team, you will be responsible for delivering geotechnical engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical engineering projects from site investigation to design and project management
  • Collaborate with the Design Team Leaders, Principal Designer and Discipline Manager(s) to deliver designs for UK projects within the Geotechnical discipline
  • Develop and implement geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, etc.) and CAD tools
  • Conduct site investigations, analysis, and design
  • Liaise with clients and community partners to ensure solutions are suitable for buildability and maintainability
  • Engage with stakeholders and collaborate between disciplines
  • Develop and provide guidance to less experienced staff
  • Check designs, design reports, and other technical documents
  • Manage programmes and demonstrate strong commercial acumen
