Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Paediatric Neuro-Oncology team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work with children and young people with brain and spine tumours, providing expert nursing care and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage the health needs of patients with brain and spine tumours, including administering chemotherapy protocols and providing specialist advice to other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Provide education and training to other staff and students on Paediatric Neuro-Oncology care and management.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical nursing practice in Paediatric Neuro-Oncology.
- Act as a clinical expert and provide leadership and guidance to other nurses and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- NMC Part 1 (Children) registration.
- Recognised teaching/mentoring qualification.
- Advanced clinical assessment skills and experience of working in Paediatric Neuro-Oncology.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
