Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our investment team, you will play a critical role in conducting rigorous, security-level analysis to develop a nuanced understanding of the financially material ESG risks and opportunities facing each fixed income or equity issuer.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with analysts, portfolio managers, and other investment professionals to utilize general investment and fixed income expertise in security-specific and thematic ESG research.
- Work closely with the equity and fixed income investment team to prepare for and conduct effective issuer engagements.
- Enhance integration frameworks in fixed income sub-asset classes, such as securitized, municipal, and sovereign.
- Communicate with clients and external parties regarding MFS' equity and fixed income ESG research and stewardship activity.
- Represent MFS in various sustainability organizations and initiatives.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as necessary.
- 10+ years of experience in an investment role with 5-10 years of ESG and fixed income experience.
- CFA or MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work creatively and independently.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability.
