About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Dish Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in the leadership of a talented team of chefs in a large staff canteen serving breakfast and lunch to 1500 staff daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of menus, ensuring high-quality food and service standards are consistently met.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient stock control, compliance, and KPIs are maintained.
  • Develop and train staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to the latest H&S guidelines and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a contract catering kitchen or high-end school environment.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to drive and inspire a team.
  • Strong understanding of menu development, costings, and stock control.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and confident demeanor.
