Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out engineering duties across multiple projects, ensuring the highest health and safety standards are met, and demonstrating commercial awareness to ensure work is carried out within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and check the accuracy of supply chain partners' setting out
  • Review works in progress and completed, identifying areas for improvement
  • Report any tolerancing issues to the site team, ensuring prompt resolution
  • Contribute to the development of package quality plans, ensuring compliance with design drawings and specifications
  • Work with the site team to identify areas for future focus, driving continuous improvement
  • Uphold our HSE standards, reporting any issues to the site team, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with design drawings and specifications, reporting back to the site team via survey output drawings
  • Upload site surveys to relevant systems, such as 4projects and SharePoint
Essential Criteria:
  • Good standard of written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft programmes and AutoCAD, with experience in surveying and setting out instrumentation
  • Appropriate CSCS card, with a minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc)
  • Driving license, with a flexible approach to working hours
Desirable Criteria:
  • Working towards MCIOB or ICE, with a strong commitment to professional development
