Personal Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Assistant to join our team at Disability North. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (type 2) to live their best life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, including cooking, eating, and personal care
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using hoisting and handling equipment as needed
- Support with household chores and organization
- Enable the individual to participate in social activities and events
- Work under the direction of the individual to meet their physical assistance needs
- No prior experience in care or support work is required, as training will be provided
- Good general health and stamina are essential for this role
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
