The Project

As a seasoned Fit-Out Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the site team, managing the fit-out packages for a significant new build industrial project valued at £50 million.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the fit-out process to ensure it aligns with the client's vision and specifications, while fostering collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must possess the following professional certifications:

  • SMSTS
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • First Aid Certification

Additionally, the following experience is essential:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role with a leading contractor
  • Demonstrated experience in the industrial sector is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong background in managing large-scale fit-out projects will also be considered.

The Role

Job Title: Fit Out Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Project: New Build Industrial Development exceeding £50 million

Reporting to: Project Director

Duties
  • Procurement management
  • Conducting toolbox talks
  • Overseeing subcontractors
  • Directing fit-out teams
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance on site
  • Managing custom design adjustments during the fit-out process
  • Performing regular inspections to evaluate workmanship quality and material usage
  • Identifying potential safety hazards and implementing corrective measures
  • Creating and managing comprehensive project schedules
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts and progress reports
  • Ensuring all fit-out works meet quality standards and comply with regulations
  • Preparing and presenting progress reports to stakeholders
  • Monitoring and managing project budgets
  • Coordinating with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure project alignment
  • Supervising the execution of interior design and fit-out specifications
  • Regularly communicating with clients to provide updates and address concerns
  • Resolving issues that arise during the fit-out process to minimize project disruptions
