Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Stress Engineer to join our team. As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and conducting finite element analysis, including finalizing loads and boundary conditions, model construction, and analysis. You will also be responsible for presenting results and recommendations to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement finite element analysis models from supplied CAD data
- Design and implement loads and boundary conditions for analysis
- Post-process analysis results and interpret them in relation to project needs
- Conceive design improvements and present them to clients
- Produce detailed project reports
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in FEA packages, preferably Hyperworks, Abaqus, or CREO
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with composite analysis and passenger vehicle safety and crash analysis
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of CAD packages, preferably CREO
- Working knowledge of explicit, non-linear Abaqus or LS-Dyna
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
