About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex projects in the offshore, marine, oil & gas, renewable and defence markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams to deliver projects in line with contractual obligations, specifications, and quality/safety requirements.
- Establish and manage client relationships, including progress reporting, query resolution, and management of change.
- Establish and lead project teams with effective communication between all project stakeholders and functional disciplines.
- Take responsibility for project planning, prioritization, and expediting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure project governance and project controls are applied robustly to projects.
Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering principles in the offshore, marine, oil & gas, renewable, and defence sectors.
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies, such as APM and PRINCE2.
- Extensive track record of leading project teams that deliver complex EPC projects in the offshore, marine, oil & gas, renewable, and defence markets.
- Excellent planning and configuration management skills.
- Deep understanding of contract construction and terms & conditions.
- Experience in identifying, drafting, and agreeing contract amendments and variations.
- Successful management of multiple key suppliers and sub-contracts.
- Excellent communication skills for written, verbal, and presentation purposes.
- Driven and motivated individual with high energy levels to direct project teams and stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in engineering and project management of complex design and build projects globally.
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Membership of a recognized engineering body, such as IMechE.
- Qualifications in project management, such as PRINCE2 or APM.
- Proficient user of software tools, including planning, ERP/MRP, PDM, and MS Office.
