About the Role

SKILLFRAME is seeking a highly skilled Probate Consultant to join our team. As a Probate Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting Executors with their application for a Grant of Probate, advising on estate administration procedures, and taking instructions from Executors for estate administration cases.

This is a fast-paced business model, with a high volume of deceased accounts reported each month. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing accounts into categories that either require Executor support or convert to full estate administration services.

The role is client-facing, and therefore, the Probate Consultant is also responsible for written communication to clients that require clarification or technical advice. Extensive knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, and estate administration is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Executors with their application for a Grant of Probate
  • Advise on estate administration procedures
  • Take instructions from Executors for estate administration cases
  • Liaise with external Solicitors and Executors throughout the administration process
  • Organize accounts into categories that either require Executor support or convert to full estate administration services
  • Provide written communication to clients that require clarification or technical advice
Requirements
  • Combination of Law Degree with CILEx/LPC/STEP Advanced Certificates in Will Preparation, Administration of Estates, and Trust
  • Extensive knowledge of Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, Probate, and Land Law
  • Minimum 1-year experience of Probate practice and estate administration
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Commercial mindset
  • Outgoing, team player personality
What We Offer

SKILLFRAME offers a competitive salary of £32k-£36k per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
