About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our growing drainage team at SYSTRA UK & Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of projects, working closely with private and public sector clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the Drainage Associate Director and the wider drainage team in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Win and deliver projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with design teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage and direct engineers and technicians involved in projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver technical packages, applications, and reports, ensuring high-quality outputs.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated civil engineering experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Good knowledge and experience of delivering surface/wastewater drainage design and approval processes.
  • Experience of drainage technical design on major and minor projects, including design principles and practical application.
  • Good knowledge of standard engineering practices, including Health and Safety and CDM.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, Microdrainage, Info Drainage, and Civil3D.
  • Experience of project management, including financial and commercial aspects of projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of design teams and project stakeholders.
