About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Bioinformatician to join our team at the Babraham Institute. As a key member of our Epigenetics Programme, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing cutting-edge computational approaches to analyze single-cell multi-omic data sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply multifactorial approaches in the analysis of single-cell multi-omics data to investigate and model epigenome-transcriptome interactions in human development.
  • Work closely with experimental and computational scientists within the Rugg-Gunn group, and with colleagues in the Epigenetics Programme and Babraham Bioinformatics.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches to maximize novel insights from multi-omic data sets.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of single-cell multimodal sequencing datasets and a good understanding of one of the main programming languages (R or Python).
  • Excellent aptitude for bioinformatic tool and workflow development.
  • Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills and a willingness to work in a team.
