Job Title: Postdoctoral Bioinformatician

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Bioinformatician to join our team at the Babraham Institute. The successful candidate will work closely with experimental and computational scientists to develop and apply multifactorial approaches in the analysis of single-cell multi-omics data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and apply computational methods to maximise the information and novel insights from multi-omic data sets.
  • Work closely with experimental and computational scientists to develop and implement approaches to computationally analyse single-cell multi-omic data sets.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches to maximise novel insights from the data.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Epigenetics Programme and Babraham Bioinformatics to advance our understanding of the gene regulatory principles that underpin cell fate decisions in early embryo development.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of single-cell multimodal sequencing datasets.
  • Good understanding of one of the main programming languages (R or Python).
  • Excellent aptitude for bioinformatic tool and workflow development.
  • Collaborative with effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
