Head of Assembly Job Description

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Assembly to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management and be able to lead a team to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement production plans to meet commercial performance targets.
  2. Lead a team of production employees to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  3. Collaborate with senior managers to develop and implement strategies for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  4. Analyse current production processes and recommend solutions for improvement.
  5. Plan, manage and execute the weekly production plan to ensure all targets are met.
  6. Report on weekly performance to the team and senior management.
  7. Develop and implement a personal development programme for production employees.
  8. Ensure the production environment is best in class and fit for purpose at all times.
  9. Adhere to company policies and standards and ensure laws and regulations are being followed.
Requirements:
  1. At least 10 years' experience in a production management role in a field related to our industry.
  2. Strong people skills and commercial acumen.
  3. Organisational, communication and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success.
  4. Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  5. Strong experience in personal development.
  6. Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
Desirable:
  1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  2. Experience in developing detailed schedules and forecasts.
  3. Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software.
