Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients and clients with communication disorders.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist clinical services to patients and clients with communication disorders
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of patients and clients
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify communication disorders and develop treatment plans
  • Providing education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on communication disorders and treatment options
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
  • Experience working with patients and clients with communication disorders
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of communication disorders and treatment options
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
