Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at HMP Parkhurst. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including installation, testing, and inspection
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to achieve facility maintenance goals
  • Provide excellent customer service to prisoners, staff, and visitors
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

Requirements

  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications
  • A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 18th Edition
  • A minimum of two years experience working in a role as an electrician, preferably within a healthcare, military or commercial environment
  • An honest and conscientious character, with an ability to approach challenges in a calm manner and a positive attitude
  • Availability to work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
