Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at HMP Parkhurst (IOW), a Category B Adult Male prison.

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of electrical systems within the prison. This will involve working alongside experienced colleagues to maintain and repair electrical installations, as well as providing technical support and guidance to other team members.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing electrical installations, including circuit breakers, electrical panels, and wiring
  • Providing technical support and guidance to other team members
  • Conducting regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of the prison's facilities
