FRS Ltd is seeking a skilled Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their team in Rugby. The role will involve working between 25-30 hours per week with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The successful candidate will have experience with Sage and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within a Small to Medium-sized Enterprise (SME). The role offers a comprehensive opportunity to develop various transactional finance skills, including maintaining the Purchase and Sales Ledger, Credit Control, and supporting the Finance Manager with month-end duties.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Processing weekly sales invoicing onto Sage
  • Setting up new customer and supplier accounts within Sage
  • Credit Control, including preparing customer statements, chasing debts, and monitoring credit checks
  • Processing bank transactions
  • Posting monthly credit card statements, ensuring receipts are received for all transactions and VAT is handled correctly
  • Assisting with monthly payroll submissions, collating payroll information for external agencies
  • Processing journals at month-end, including prepayments and accruals
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers and calculating monthly depreciation journals
