Job Description

Chase and Holland Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport and Logistics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our fleet of vehicles, warehouses, and properties across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fleet and Warehouse Compliance: Ensure accurate records and documentation for licenses, conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure VOSA and ISO standards.
  • Maintenance and Optimization: Review fleet and property composition, implement maintenance schedules, monitor PPM, and negotiate fuel deals to minimize costs.
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee warehouse operations, procedures, and stock levels to minimize discrepancies.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of drivers, ensuring driving hours compliance, allocation, and planning of schedules, as well as training and development.
  • Health and Safety: Act as the site Health and Safety Officer, conducting regular risk assessments, implementing safety measures, and ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Report updates and KPIs to the CEO and Executive teams, manage the logistics department budget, and utilize systems to optimize operations.
Requirements:
  • Transport Manager CPC: Valid Transport Manager CPC qualification.
  • O License Holder Experience: Experience as an O License holder.
  • Logistics and Transport Management: Experience in logistics and transport management.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of UK and EU regulations related to transport, warehousing, and property management.
