We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Technical to join our team at Morgan Ryder Associates Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to our technical and food science teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop the Technical and Food Science teams to ensure they are high-performing, multi-skilled, and aligned with business objectives.
- Build strong working relationships with the Gainsborough management team to ensure site objectives are met.
- Collaborate with the Technical Director to progress all projects, actions, and trials efficiently through the site.
- Ensure all products comply with current EU and UK Food Contact & Food Safety legislation.
- Drive and monitor technical projects and trials, ensuring they meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Provide technical support across other departments such as Procurement, Operations, and Quality Assurance (QA).
- Produce and present monthly reports to update the Technical Director and site management on team activities and progress.
- Support the creation of "right first time" packaging solutions that meet customer and site requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance across the Technical and Food Science departments.
- Engage with Field Technical Services to offer customer trial support or investigate complaints.
- Conduct customer visits as needed to provide technical support.
- A solid experience managing a team or department.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience in project management and product development processes.
- Experience in packaging, print, or conversion is highly advantageous.
