Job Title – Senior BIM Designer

Location: Winchester / Southampton

Arup is seeking a highly skilled Senior BIM Designer to join our team. As a Senior BIM Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the built environment through the effective use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology.

As a Senior BIM Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from concept design to construction, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement BIM strategies to improve project delivery and efficiency
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of BIM models
  • Provide training and support to project teams on BIM best practices and software
  • Develop and maintain BIM standards and guidelines for the company
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in BIM technology

Requirements

  • Qualification in Engineering, with a bias towards Design Engineering and/or Building Information Management
  • Ability to draw in 2D and 3D software
  • Knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650, and peripheral documents, such as AEC Protocol, and NBS
  • Awareness of UK Adoptable Standards (Section 38, 278, 104, 106 etc.)
  • Awareness of one or more front-end languages (e.g. HTML / CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
  • Awareness of one or more back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python, PHP) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
