Role Summary:

We are seeking a proficient Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist to become a vital member of our expanding managed services team. This role merges traditional infrastructure oversight with a strong focus on security, making it ideal for individuals looking to enhance their careers in this critical domain. The selected candidate will act as the main technical escalation point for our Service Desk, addressing both proactive and reactive maintenance for our clients' systems.

Key Duties:

  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for the Service Desk.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive maintenance across client environments.
  • Oversee and secure infrastructure systems for various clients.
  • Ensure systems are secure, dependable, and manageable.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve service delivery and security measures.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior team members as required.
  • Perform system audits to ensure security compliance.
  • Monitor for security incidents and engage in incident response activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications or a commitment to obtain them within the initial months (supported by the organization).
  • Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) or a commitment to acquire them within the initial months (supported by the organization).
  • Demonstrated experience in infrastructure management with a strong emphasis on security.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO).
  • Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
  • Experience with IDS/IPS and network security.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure support.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory Services, Office 365, and Office Pro Plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and SCCM Management / MCEM.
  • Familiarity with security tools (Nessus, Windows Defender, SIEM products).
  • Basic networking and firewall skills.
  • Experience with incident/problem ticketing systems.

Note: Due to the sensitive nature of this position, candidates must have 5 years of UK residency and the ability to obtain SC level Clearance without any impediments.
