Senior Medical Writing Director

The Senior Medical Writing Manager will play a key role in the development of clinical trials for atai's innovative therapeutics. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing Phase 1-3 clinical trials, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of these studies.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive the conceptualization and design of clinical development plans (CDPs) and clinical trials, ensuring alignment with atai's global strategy.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs, biometrics, safety, and operations teams to ensure high-quality protocol documents and effective study execution.
- Provide medical expertise and oversight to project teams, ensuring the ethical and medical aspects of studies are met.
- Contribute to the clinical components of Investigator Brochures (IBs) and documents for regulatory submissions.
- Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas and provide input across chapters as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in drug development, preferably in neurology or psychiatry indications.
- Board certification in psychiatry or a related field is preferred.
- Active medical license is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical trial methodology, study design, and protocol writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into simple terms.
