An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of the UK's leading Independent Software Organizations, recognized as a key player in the advancement of Enterprise-Led Internet Technologies.

We are currently seeking a Software Security Specialist to enhance our established and high-performing In-House Security Team, which comprises 35 professionals, including SOC & Cyber Analysts, Experienced Cyber Security Engineers, and Security Architects.

In this role, you will concentrate on the technical aspects of IT Security, with a particular emphasis on Application Security and Code Analysis, ensuring that our applications are developed with security as a priority.

The Information & Cyber Security Team is responsible for safeguarding Closed-Sourced, Open-Source, and In-House Developed Applications, ensuring that all systems and services are designed with Privacy and Security in mind.

You will collaborate closely with the Software Development Team to ensure that application-related vulnerabilities are identified and addressed, necessitating strong code review skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience with Security Assessment Tools and Techniques, including Penetration Testing and Code Review.
- Employing structured methodologies for conducting and reporting on Web Application Penetration Testing.
- Demonstrating knowledge and experience with Automated, Dynamic, and Static Application Security Testing Tools, alongside Manual Security Testing to uncover vulnerabilities and logical flaws.

- A broad understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its relationship with Information Security.
- Familiarity with industry-standard Information Security practices.
- Conducting thorough Security Vulnerability Analysis and Assessments of Software Applications, providing actionable remediation recommendations.

- Supporting the project lifecycle to ensure that Information Security considerations are integrated from the outset.
- Taking ownership of the security of tested products within the project context.
- Performing both Manual and Automated Source Code Reviews.

- Contributing to and utilizing Security Testing Methodologies, while creating and updating technical documentation as required.
- Collaborating with the Software Development Department to ensure that security is prioritized throughout the SDLC.

- Identifying security issues within the organization's software and managing them through collaboration with external stakeholders as necessary.
