We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at ZF. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the stability, security, and efficient operation of the full range of IT at our manufacturing site.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, implement solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT systems.
- Provide 3rd line client support, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Maintain and oversee the manufacturing sites IT production infrastructure, including shop floor PC clients, network infrastructure, and manufacturing IT equipment.
- Implement and enforce security protocols and best practices to safeguard sensitive manufacturing data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document IT infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and ease of access for the team.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing IT infrastructure efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness, and propose and implement solutions to optimize workflows and streamline processes.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience working in an IT hands-on role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Understanding of IT systems, including servers, networks, hardware, and software applications.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, with a structured problem-solving approach.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Products (Windows, Office 365 etc) and experience in VMWare Hypervisor/VSphere, Lan/VLAN configuration appreciated.
- Understanding of ITIL v3 preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English and confident verbal and written communication skills.
- UK Driving license.
