Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday), 4:00pm on Friday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Supply Chain Executive to join our team at Travail Employment Group. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring stock availability, ordering products quickly and efficiently, and responding to sales and customer service stock queries in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Placing purchase orders with suppliers to ensure deliveries are made on time and in full (OTIF)
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating and driving cost savings
  • Buying cheaper or alternative equivalent products that meet the needs of our clients
  • Proactively sourcing alternative products and innovations in the marketplace and presenting these to the marketing and sales team for approval
  • Reviewing purchase orders to ensure due dates and prices are correct
  • Managing the purchasing system and responding to all queries urgently
  • Providing first-class support to other departments to ensure customer needs are met
  • Reviewing sales and demand to ensure correct re-order points on popular items
  • Supporting the warehouse with delivery queries and ensuring good communication

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in commercial buying or a degree-level qualification in supply chain
  • Ability to act on initiative, be methodical and accurate, and a self-starter
  • Confidence on the phone and comfortable challenging suppliers
  • Understanding of demand planning and stock forecasting
  • 100% service-oriented, displaying a can-do attitude and willingness to resolve problems quickly and take responsibility to ensure they are complete
