Job Requirements
The role of an Advanced Teaching Assistant is to provide support to children, including those with Education Health Care Plans, under the direction of the class teacher, SENDCo, or the extended inclusion team. This involves assessing, monitoring, and recording student development, progress, and attainment through our school systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing individual development plans, termly reviews, and healthcare plans. Additionally, they will establish and maintain relationships with families, arrange or provide resources for lessons, and provide short-term cover within our behaviours units.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a school environment with young people and hold a Level 3 qualification related to working with children and young people.
