Candidate Profile:

The successful applicant will possess a robust background in commercial projects, with a minimum project value of £1.5m. The ideal candidate should have experience in Mechanical engineering installation projects within commercial, industrial, and public sector environments, demonstrating both technical proficiency and commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Project Management of Mechanical Services installation contracts from the handover of estimates to project completion and final account agreement.
  • Procure necessary equipment and materials, as well as subcontractor packages, ensuring optimal value.
  • Manage and forecast expenditures using spreadsheet tools to maintain budget adherence.
  • Analyze labor resource needs for projects, overseeing labor placement and associated costs.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure work quality meets established standards and timelines.
  • Manage projects to deliver on contracted objectives.
  • Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements, while monitoring Health & Safety compliance for on-site and off-site personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with various professionals, including clients, structural engineers, builders, architects, surveyors, and internal project teams, fostering and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Participate in a variety of project group and technical meetings.
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Compile certification and prepare Operation & Maintenance manuals.
Essential Skills:

A solid understanding of Mechanical Services Project Management is crucial, along with a comprehensive grasp of the technical, commercial, and contractual processes involved. Proficiency in CAD and a good understanding of HVAC systems are required.
Additionally, strong people management and staff supervision skills are essential, along with competence in computer usage and data management, including Microsoft Office applications.
