About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team at Teach360. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing emotional support and guidance.
  • Work with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
  • Facilitate small group sessions and one-on-one interventions focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and constructive manner, using de-escalation techniques.
  • Serve as a positive role model, encouraging students to engage in school activities and take responsibility for their behaviour.
  • Collaborate with families, external agencies, and professionals to ensure a comprehensive support network for each student.
  • Help organize and lead extracurricular activities that promote teamwork, self-esteem, and resilience.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting support strategies as needed.
  • Be involved in the development of school policies and initiatives aimed at improving student well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as a Youth Worker.
Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Youth Worker, particularly with young people who have SEMH needs, is highly desirable.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire young people.
  • Patient, resilient, and a strong commitment to making a difference in the lives of students.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the varying needs of the students and the school.
