Job Title: 3rd Line IT Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line IT Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Stevenage. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier technical solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite and remote support to a variety of organisations
  • Deliver projects on customer sites, ensuring timely and efficient implementation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, both remotely and in person
  • Manage and support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security
  • Advise clients on system improvements and future IT strategies
  • Work closely with internal staff, clients, and 3rd parties to ensure high-quality service delivery
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working at an MSP in both onsite and support desk roles
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Microsoft Intune
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, SharePoint/OneDrive, and Teams
  • Expertise in managing Windows Server, including Active Directory, AD Sync, and Group Policy
  • Solid understanding of virtualization (Hyper-V), LAN/WAN, Routing, Switching, VLANs, VPNs, and WatchGuard firewalls
  • Proficiency in backup, recovery, and business continuity concepts
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like Cyber Essentials
  • Experience working with PSA tools (preferably Autotask) and managing to SLAs
Desirable:
  • Microsoft certifications and familiarity with ITIL or other ITSM frameworks would be a plus
