Job Title: Director of Engineering Projects

At SRG, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering Projects to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of project engineering disciplines related to facilities or equipment modification, including construction, demolition, and start-up activities.
  • EHS Risk Management: Manage and review EHS risks and controls associated with project delivery, including the use, occupancy, and maintenance/operation of modified/installed systems and facilities.
  • Comprehensive Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough EHS risk assessments for completed projects, identifying potential hazards and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Preliminary Design Review: Participate in the preliminary design review phase of project delivery and review project documentation, including the User Requirement Brief, Safety Risk Assessment, Project Change Control, and Project Handover Package.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support across the project delivery lifecycle, including Detailed Design, Preconstruction, Construction, Commissioning, and Handover.
  • Incident Management: Experience in incident management and investigation, identifying root causes of EHS incidents and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Hold a degree in Engineering.
  • Certifications: Hold NEBOSH - National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals or the National General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Broad experience in Health & Safety within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other large, regulated industry, with a deep understanding of local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey EHS risks and recommendations to stakeholders, and strong analytical skills to interpret data related to EHS risks and develop effective solutions.
