Test Development Engineer

Caged Tigers South Ltd is seeking a skilled Test Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing automated test facilities for new product developments, enhancing existing manufacturing facilities, and generating controlled documentation for test procedures, configurations, and code.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and delivery of automated manufacturing test facilities for new product developments
  • Enhancement of existing manufacturing facilities to optimize effectiveness of the test process flow
  • Generation of controlled documentation for test procedures, configurations, and code
  • Conducting statistical evaluation and trend analysis of test results to guide process improvement
  • Advising product development engineers on design for testability features of new products
  • Developing and introducing new testing methodologies for new product families
  • Supporting system acceptance testing prior to the delivery of larger communication systems
Requirements:
  • Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience of testing electronics/RF/Fibre sub-systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Skills in test code development and sequencing with scripting tools
  • Experience developing automated test rigs for RF circuits and optical telecommunications systems
  • Understanding of software and firmware version control and release management
  • Experience with engineering quality management processes
