About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our SAP Performance Test Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering performance tests within a team of performance testers, planning, developing scripts, preparing data and environment, test execution, analysis of results, and documenting performance test outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver performance tests within a team of performance testers
  • Plan, develop, and execute performance test scripts
  • Prepare data and environment for performance testing
  • Analyze test results and document performance test outcomes
  • Support OAT and Security testing as required
  • Collaborate with other teams for fault diagnosis, performance modeling, and capacity planning
Requirements
  • Understanding of technologies and test approaches for system topologies, including mainframe, client-server, cloud, and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge and experience of end-to-end software development cycles and methodologies
  • Production of test evidence and associated artifacts to support quality
  • Proficiency in tools such as Performance Center, JMeter, SOAP UI, NMon, and JIRA
  • Coding ability for Performance Center scripting, including Web services, HTTP, DotNet protocols, and encryption
  • Knowledge of databases and expertise in structured querying to support testing and generate test data
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including load balancing, firewalls, routing, and network protocols
Desirable Skills
  • Technical expertise in IBM Z mainframes, DB2, Linux, SAP landscapes, delivery processes, and tooling, with a focus on SAP BS, SAP BW, SAP DS, SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA, and Wintel Client Server
  • Hands-on experience with NMon, JIRA, SAP GUI, and Control-M
  • Shell scripting on Linux and understanding of ABAP and Java
  • Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools, such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and WILY
