Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Business: Provide first-line ER advice to colleagues and support line managers in understanding and optimizing our processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver Professional Advice: Consistently deliver a professional and proactive approach, enabling managers to achieve their objectives through coaching and the provision of ER advice that is prompt, persuasive, effective, and evaluates risk.
  • Be Proactive and Adaptable: Be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with change, prioritizing and planning how to resolve each case assigned to you in a timely manner.
  • Coach and Develop Line Managers: Coach and develop line manager autonomy by supporting them through our processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Provide training to the wider People Team and the Business, being a role model and offering support and guidance where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the ER Specialist Team: Work with the wider People Management team on People Projects as required and develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with the Employee Relations Specialist Team in referring and resolving employee relations cases in a seamless way.
  • Expertise in People Policy: Be seen as an expert in understanding People policy and take ownership of the flexible working process, including making changes on the system.
  • Develop Relationships and Knowledge: Develop brilliant relationships within the business and continually develop your own understanding of employment legislation.
  • Work with the ER Advisory Manager: Work closely with the ER Advisory Manager to build knowledge and share best practice within the ER Advisory team and beyond.
  • Support with Disciplinaries and Grievances: Note take for disciplinaries, grievances, welfare meetings, etc., and assist the ER Advisory Manager to gather value-adding data.
