About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Quantexa Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for implementing our innovative technology and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior data engineers within an agile framework.
  • Design and develop defensive, fault-tolerant, and efficient code for production-level data processing systems.
  • Configure and deploy Quantexa's software using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Elasticsearch, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and standards for complex big data challenges.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • At least five years of industry experience in a data engineering role or equivalent, with at least 18 months of experience in a lead role.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or a programming language associated with data engineering.
  • Expertise in building and deploying production-level data processing batch systems, with a focus on operational stability and efficiency.
  • Experience with modern development tooling, such as Git, Gradle, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
  • Strong technical communication skills, with experience working in rapidly changing client environments.
  • Knowledge of testing libraries and frameworks, with a focus on unit testing and integration testing.
