We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at Bamford Contract Services Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in leadership and operations management to drive forward our manufacturing plan and achieve sales targets.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of directing and controlling staff, ensuring they are appropriately trained and motivated to conduct their responsibilities to the required standard. They will also be responsible for monitoring production equipment and processes to ensure the volume and quality of output meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and control operatives/staff at site, ensuring they are appropriately trained and motivated to conduct their responsibilities to the required standard.
- Monitor the volume and quality of output to ensure it meets the required standards.
- Monitor production equipment and processes to ensure the volume and quality of output are maintained to the required standard.
- Ensure there are sufficient raw materials on site to meet the manufacturing program.
- Monitor manning levels on production equipment and make recommendations/changes as necessary.
- Ensure all Company Health & Safety policies and regulations are complied with.
- Address and resolve technical issues arising in the production process.
- Ensure all production records are maintained.
- Communicate with HR any issues or assistance needed with staff.
- Ensure the site and associated equipment is secure out of hours.
- Highlight and implement improvement ideas to reduce waste.
Requirements:
- Working within a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management skills.
- Proven IT competency.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Leadership skills and collaborative way of working.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Adaptive to change and ability to encourage others to change.
