Job Title: Senior Site Manager

A leading main contractor is seeking a technically skilled Senior Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and experience working with a main contractor.

Job Summary:

The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This will involve supervising all on-site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers, as well as monitoring project progress and providing regular reports to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the construction site, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Supervise all on-site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that the project is delivered to the highest possible standard and meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve on-site issues before they become apparent.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with a main contractor (essential).
  • Degree qualified or professional qualification.
  • Completed Safety Level 1 course.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Extensive experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor (essential).
  • Experience as a Graduate or Trainee Site Engineer.
  • Good understanding of technical details.
  • Awareness of commercial and financial aspects.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with contracts like NEC and JCT.
