Job Description

Role Overview

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Language Educator to join our team of professionals. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language education to secondary school students, creating engaging lesson plans, and closely monitoring student progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare, and deliver English language lessons aligned with the national curriculum and tailored to individual student needs.
  • Utilize various teaching methods, including lectures, group activities, and practical experiments, to engage students and support their learning.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, homework, and tests.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents, identifying areas for improvement and success strategies.
  • Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as English clubs, fairs, and field trips, to further engage and inspire students.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching English to school students.
  • Profound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Updated DBS.

  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL.
