Position Overview

This company has built a solid reputation over the years, expanding its operations to include general building projects, such as new constructions and extensions.

With a turnover of approximately £6M annually, the firm maintains a balanced portfolio, dedicating 80% of its business to brickwork and 20% to extensions. They are committed to fostering strong relationships with clients and delivering exceptional results.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of quantity surveying, including procurement, cost control, and commercial management.
  • Engage with clients and contractors to provide expert advice on contractual matters, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Conduct site measurements and assessments to ensure accuracy in project execution.
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges as they arise.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector, including contract negotiation and tendering.
  • Strong understanding of cost control methodologies and commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and contractors at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with financial reporting.

Compensation

The position offers a competitive salary of up to £65-70k, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
