Compensation: £37,547 based on skills and experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert-level technical assistance and guidance for Typhoon aircraft platform systems.
- Identify and rectify intricate faults, ensuring minimal operational downtime and optimal efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute and sustain system improvements.
- Facilitate On Job Training and knowledge transfer to support ongoing system operations.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to avert recurrence of issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Hands-on experience with Typhoon platform systems (preferably at Supervisor Level), including Typhoon Q Annotation (or equivalent).
- HNC (or equivalent experience) in Aerospace Engineering.
- Exceptional system fault diagnosis capabilities; able to analyze test results effectively.
- Adherence to Maintenance, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Airworthiness governance responsibilities.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with a wide array of product development, verification, and in-service processes and techniques, such as product lifecycles, qualification plans and reports, configuration control, and requirements analysis.
- Able to interpret industry documentation and procedures, including Trilogy View, ESS, and Resolve.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Technical Support Engineering Team:
As part of the Joint Avionics Service (JAS), Technical Support Engineers (TSE) are tasked with providing in-depth technical support to Military Maintenance end users, offering diagnostic and maintenance recovery solutions across Typhoon platform systems.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to assist in aircraft fault diagnostics, share Industry Best Practices, and provide specialist knowledge and techniques, along with data analysis. This collaboration occurs between BAE Systems and Leonardo Engineers, ensuring seamless integration within the TSE engineering support framework. The JAS implements a Typhoon NFF initiative aimed at reducing NFF occurrences and supports investigations into root causes through technical analysis.
